Speaking American English
Pronunciation/Accent Modification
The ability of a speaker to be better understood by others is the focus of this program. The program utilizes work related vocabulary and activities to build the participant's ability to discriminate American English speech sounds, improve pronunciation of American English speech sounds, address tone and volume of voice control to convey meaning and build acceptable English intonation patterns for conversation and business language. The training also points out cross cultural communication awareness. The program meets weekly for a total of 24 hours.
