Successful communication in the meeting room, lunch room or during a telephone conference is a necessity for professional success and development. The ability to organize speech in a clear, concise manner strengthens the capacity to be a contributing member of an organization. The program includes listening skills, work related vocabulary, grammar, idiomatic language, acceptable business language for meetings and telephone calls, non verbal aspects of communication such as body language, and cross cultural communication awareness. The program meets for 5 weeks, for a total of 10 hours.
- The Spoken English program provides the participant with a greater awareness of the aspects of his or her communication that interferes with effective communication in meetings or general conversations.
- The program improves the individual's professional productivity and efficiency due to improved verbal communication with others.
